6 Stars. What a gem, even if you don’t fish. The lodge is also great if you just need a weekend away. This is a catch and release venue and requires all equipment to be inspected before going fishing. Staff are very helpful with both fishing set up and in the restaurant. You can book private fishing dens for the day, Please enquire when making a booking. This is a very popular lodge, so please book in advance. The rooms are clean and well presented with all amenities. Grounds are well kept and neat. Impressive gym and kids play room. This lodge has an awesome English pub with lots of locals and fisherman stories about the “one that got away.” Thank You, Mark, and your amazing staff for making our stay unforgettable. We will return on our next visit.
Rooms: Singles rooms can be made to be double rooms for families or groups. Rooms have all the regular facilities, including a safe.
Nearby activities: Due to its location, it’s outside of town.
    Safety: Very safe, all good.
Walkability: Everything is within walking distance within the lodge. The lodge itself is out of town and would require a vehicle.
Food & drinks: Food and drinks can be all bought at the restaurant. Pricing is good on all items.

We have just got back from Jurassic Fishing Park and was a great experience. The service from start to finish was first class and the food great. My Wife came and really enjoyed her stay even though she was not fishing and the Thai food excellent. The fish are in excellent condition with helpful guide to help capture and take pictures. We will be back sometime next year for more all the best to the team Shaun & Pim.

Just about to book another trip to Jurassic and realised I didn’t do a review from my trip there in 2022.
    Booking:
The process was super slick and Jo was patient with all my questions and constant changing of dates. I feel for her as she’s had to go through the same again this last week !!!
We were in Bangkok / Krabi for a holiday and decided to bolt some fishing onto end of the trip. I thought 3-days would be enough…it wasn’t.
The pricing is very fair bearing in mind you just turn up and fish and all you pay for is extras (drinks) on top. All your gear is provided; rods / reals / terminal tackle / alarms / pods and of course bait.
    Transfer from airport to Jurassic:
We arrived (from a beach holiday in Krabi) into BKK about 4:30pm and our driver was waiting promptly for us.
Transfer was a little longer than normal but the traffic was pretty busy due to our flight arrival time. The car had WiFi so I managed to watch the footy which took up most of the journey.
    Accommodation:
The suites are fantastic and immaculate. Beds are comfy and it’s equipped with everything you need whilst you’re there. Free WiFi too and smart TV (from memory). The waters are only a few mins walk to the suites so nice and quick if you do need to go back for any reason.
Each swim has a cabana / hut with a seated table, fan and a cool box for your drinks. You will use this area more than you think as it gets very humid and you’ll be desperate of some shade after playing a fish for 30+ mins.
Oh yes…watch out for the lizards (they are harmless). I saw the tail of one and thought it was a huge snake and didn’t go in the hut for the rest of the day. Sunburn ensued !!!
    Restaurant / Food:
The food is excellent at the resort with a varied menu. Breakfast and lunch are delivered to your peg via a concierge service using WhatsApp along with drinks during the daytime. This is the future !!!
    Fishing:
I’m a river angler so bite alarms and bobbins have no place in my tackle bag.
I was quite nervous at the thought of fishing a completely different style vs. what I’m typically used to but on reflection almost everyone I talked to (unless they’d been before) had an element of nerves as it’s a completely different experience targeting the types of fish that are in the species lake.
That said Tom, Ollie and George made me feel at ease as we ran through the setup.
The guys are extremely helpful and full of useful tips and advice. They’re pretty busy in the day running the resort / media duties but do pick their brains in the evening. I struggled on the first day but a few tips from George re “bait location” and I was away. If your not catching then ask for advise as these guys / gillies know the place inside out.
I struggled the first day but once a I found my feet I felt more comfortable with fish location and tactics. I had x4 Siamese and a Tambaqui (over the three days) but my target fish was a Redtail.
Thankfully I managed to hook into one about an hour before we left the resort so all the hard work paid off.
Special mention to the gillies / bar staff / waiting staff / chefs and everyone you don’t see as they 100% make the place. Everyone had a friendly face and the place runs like clockwork.
Fish-care is second to none and the team are extremely passionate about their profession.
This is a 6/5 review as I honestly couldn’t fault the place, my only complaint is I didn’t fish for long enough and now wish we’d have cut the beach-holiday short and had a few extra days here. My (non-fishing) partner was with me and she enjoyed it thoroughly and found it relaxing.
I’m currently sat here freezing on the Warks Avon and can’t wait for October to come when I re-visit Jurassic with my two angling friends. Target fish are a 100+ Siamese and an Arapaima.
    Gav / Gemma.

Heard about this place, wasn’t planning to fish it, but decided to do a 3 day experience, testing each of the ponds available. From the onset of arriving, it’s first class service and warmth. Thanks to all the staff, I cannot praise the front of house, and gillies high enough. They go out of their way to accommodate. Food is brilliant and covers all nationality types and its cooked to perfection. Onto the fishing! There is plenty of hype about this resort, all I can say is it lives up to its reputation. 30 odd fish landed over 3 days. Whilst not the giants of the lake, I saw plenty others catching some legendary fish. Was more than happy with five solid 10kg barra, a hookup to 110kg cod and some nice 60lb catfish and carp. Gillies really look after the client and know their stuff, cannot doubt their dedication to the job. Place is chilled, relaxed, friendly and the service in meeting a guest ‘s request met with a smile at all times. Had the best time I’ve had in 10 years! Coming back within 12 months. Can’t praise then entire site team enough. Your hard work and dedication was surely appreciated. Thanks again!

Though we do not fish, we have going here many times. The restaurant is excellent with the best selection of beers, ciders and wine.
Just recently this was the place my wife wanted to celebrate her birthday.

I first visited Jurassic Mountain just before it officially opened in 2012 and have been fortunate to visit several times since. September 1st 2023 was our first visit back since November 2019. Wow!!! The transformation to the resort over this time is nothing short of amazing. Tom, Oliver and the entire team are the most wonderful hosts, fishing guides and cooks of the best Thai and European food! The accommodation and amenities really are first class, we particularly loved the WhatsApp ordering facility and the fishing……..Words defy the world class fishing to be had in the brilliantly maintained lake which is set in the most stunning scenery. I highly recommend that you plan a visit – but be prepared to catch more and bigger target species than you have before and be prepared to regret that you did not plan a long enough trip. It was an honor and a privilege to catch the largest Siamese Carp in the lake @180lbs and a magnificent Tambaqui specimen @40lbs. We”ll be back soon – but will stay longer next time!! 1.5days is just not enough
Rooms: The rooms, serviced daily are absolutely clean, comfortable, modern and very well appointed.
Walkability: The paths around the lake and the restaurant and accommodation are flat, well maintained and provide easy accessibility
Food & drinks: A huge variety of delicious local and international cuisine – prepared and presented to the highest level. Great selection of wines, beers and spirits.
Noteworthy details: The staff and in particular the fishing guides – exceptional
The ordering system using WhatsApp is incredibly efficient
    Fantastic sustainability initiatives around packaging

Our 1st time and it was definitely a pleasant surprise.
seamless checkin, clean rooms, well stocked bar and delicious food.
however the best was the fishing experience, GIANTS, and so chilled just to wait for the big bite. Gillies (fishing guides) were immediately at your side to safely handle the fish, safe release
    kudos to the whole operations!!!
Food & drinks: whats there to say other than everything was great…
    oops..maybe the apple crumble

Cannot recommend highly enough! Communication was spot on when booking. Resort is incredible, room was spotless and furnished to a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were super friendly. The lakes are the stuff of dreams as well!
